Day 1: Everyone arrived okay and we where off. We took the scenic route through San Francisco (thats code for "We got a little lost") and made it to oue beatiful picture perfect lighthouse on the coast 20 miles south of San Francisco. We settle in and walked down to the tide pools and played on the beach. The boys palyeda little ball while we made dinner. Everyone got to bed before 10pm exhausted. We are excited to surf tomorrow.

I am glad to see pictures of what I consider our summer extended family. Hello, Amy and Aidan (you both look absolutely radiant) Trevor and Hilary, thanks for the save yesterday; welcome Taylor and Kai. Alee was full of "Oh, my gosh's" when I asked her if she was having a good time, I take that to mean yes. I hope she remembered to tell Peter what I said... Your first location looks heavenly. Camp looks great. All seem to be having fun. Where is the nanny? I heard that you have one on the trip to watch that beautiful son of yours.

We sat around a campfire in Ione on the evening of the 4th. It was warm but fun. A fire truck came by to see if we were doing fireworks. Hope you all are enjoying "gold country".
